Jose “Che” Ramirez serves as the Executive Director of St. Anthony Foundation in San Francisco, a nonprofit service provider that has been a staple in the underserved Tenderloin community for 70 years. Jose brings to the role more than two decades of experience in serving high risk populations experiencing homelessness in Ventura County, Los Angeles County and now San Francisco. He most recently served as Executive Director for St. Francis Center in downtown Los Angeles addressing issues of food insecurity, homelessness, and housing. As someone who has personally experienced homelessness, Jose now looks to inspire a movement of compassion in San Francisco and bring an innovative solutions-based approach to addressing the homeless crisis.
